In each March, land of Khuvsgul Lake people celebrate Ice festival. The festival involves a great variety of activities and competitions, including Ice Sumo, ice sculptures, ice skating and horse sledge rides on the shore of the beautiful Lake Khuvsgul of Mongolia. This two-day event is also offers shamanistic ceremony of offering and provides a fascinating insight into the Tsaatan people's daily life. What a trip with a difference!
At the arrival meet guide and transfer to the hotel**** to check in. Visit Chinggis Khaan museum and tour to the Chinggis Khaan Statue, the biggest equestrian statue in the world - 40 meters tall stainless-steel statue symbolically pointed east towards his birthplace, on the bank of the Tuul River at Tsonjin Boldog. After breakfast, transfer to the airport and flight to Murun town. Drive to Khatgal sum - village and enjoy Ice festival opening ceremony, ice carving competition, ice Sumo wrestling, ankle bone shooting, and shaman ceremony and national folklore performances.
